As many as 77 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 27 May /MOLDPRES/- A number of 4,575 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 77 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 254,985 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), one out of all cases of infection registered is among medical employees: 1 medical assistant.

As many as 581 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 98 are in extremely serious condition (17 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,140 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 14,199 are under supervision at home.

Another 119 people have been treated. As many as 247,135 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another five deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,093people have died of coronavirus in all.
