Moldovan president meets German envoy

Chisinau, 28 May /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu had a meeting yesterday with Ambassador of Germany to Moldova Angela Ganninger.

According to the presidential press service, the head of state thanked the Federal Government both for constant supporting Moldova and generous assistance provided in the fight against the pandemic.

"We want continuity both in the direction of political cooperation and in areas related to trade and investment, regional development, renewable energy, reform of vocational education. We rely on Germany's support in economic recovery after the pandemic crisis, and implementation of projects leading to the development of the Republic of Moldova ", Maia Sandu said.

The discussions also referred to the official visit Maia Sandu paid to Berlin on 19-20 May, as well as the actions to be taken as a result of this visit.

Germany has been a strong partner of the Republic of Moldova for about three decades, including within the EU.
