Moldovan electoral body accredits more observers at 11 July parliamentary elections

Chisinau, 28 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has accredited 43 people as international observers at the snap parliamentary elections due on 11 July 2021.
At a today’s public meeting, the CEC members accredited more people as international and national observers at the snap polls. The largest number of observers was introduced by the Council of Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries – 22 persons. The next come the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights with eight people accredited; six people are accredited on behalf of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations and three persons accredited on behalf of the Institute for Monitoring Democracy, Parliamentarianism and Observance of Electoral Rights of the CIS member states.
For their part, the CIS election observation mission and the Central Election Commission of Russia asked for the accreditation of two persons each.
