Over 10 percent of Moldovan population got vaccinated against COVID-19

Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRES/- So far, 416,814 people have got vaccinated against COVID-19 in the Republic of Moldova, which is over 10 percent of the country's population. More than 2% have already got both doses.
According to the leadership of the National Public Health Agency, so far, 886,390 doses of vaccine have reached the country. About 90 percent have already been distributed in the territory. Last week, more than 100,000 doses of vaccine were administered, most of them in organized marathons.
All people who have reached the age of 18 are eligible for vaccination. They can call their family doctor or schedule an appointment online.
To date, more than 400,000 people have been immunized with the first dose of the vaccine, and the booster dose has been administered to 76,663. Vaccine coverage among medical staff is over 80 percent. Authorities have announced that new stocks of AstraZeneca will soon arrive in the country.
Also, of the total number of vaccinated people, more than 1,370 had moderate side effects.
