Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi today conveyed a congratulatory message to the children from Moldova on the occasion of the Children’s Day, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The message reads:
„Today, 1 June, we mark the first summer day and, respectively, we celebrate the Children’s Day. Even we do not enjoy a sunny day, nevertheless, this holiday brings us warmth in souls and smiles on faces, either we admire our children or recall our own childhood.
On this occasion, I convey sincere congratulations to all children of Moldova, wishing them a happy childhood, in full safety; may they are brought up in the unconditional love of the parents and enjoy the care of all adults from the society.
Dear friends,
It is our responsibility to create the best conditions to protect the children and that they are brought up harmoniously in the family and in the society. Their chances to life depend on the quality of life from the first days, on the access to quality public services, either it is about health, education, or it is about the infrastructure – drinking water, transport and street illumination, which contributes to the children’s safety. And the chances should be as equal and fair as possible, so that no child is left behind, no matter the geographical zone from which he/she comes, the ethic or linguistic community he/she is a member of or the income of the child’s family.
And given that the school year ended on 31 May, which was held in special conditions, I want to offer thanks to all pupils, students and teachers. Both the pupils and teachers had to cope with the challenges and adapt to the conditions of the online education regime. I recognize that it was not easy, but we succeeded together! It was an exercise which had to be solved both by the pupils and the teachers. In this respect, I express high appreciations to the teachers who proved resistance, flexibility and dedication, putting at risk their health, in order to train the pupils and ensure the education process.
In the end, I express gratitude to all those who take care of our country’s children and to their utmost for them to fully develop their potential and gifts.
A happy holiday, dear children of Moldova!”
