As many as 55 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRES/- A number of 5,440 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 55 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 255,241 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), one out of all cases of infection registered is among medical employees (1 auxiliary staff employee).

As many as 466 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 83 are in extremely serious condition (15 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 898 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 12,657 are under supervision at home.

Another 102 people have been treated. As many as 247,609 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another seven deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,114 people have died of coronavirus in all.
