Customs service revenues increased by 25 per cent

Chisinau, 2 June /MOLDPRES/- Customs Service revenues in the first 5 months of 2021 amount to over 10.2 billion lei, up by 25% against the same period last year.
The revenue figure is increasing by 21% compared to 2019. At the same time, in May, the Customs Service collected over 2.1 billion lei to the state budget, about 45% more than in the same month of 2020.
During the last month, 43,942 customs declarations were made, and the flow of means of transport was 204,923 crossings. The busiest customs posts were Leuseni and Sculeni, with 65,542 and 37,468 crossings, respectively.
Also, during the period, 737 violations of the customs legislation were found, 322 reports were made on contravention and fines worth over one million lei were applied.
