09:27 | 03.06.2021 Category: Economic

Chisinau, 3 June /MOLDPRES/- In the last days, there are low air temperatures in Moldova, not specific to this period of the year. However, they will not influence fruit development, according to the Moldova Fruit Association.

"Fruits grow normally when temperatures are around 15-25 degrees. During this temperature range the photosynthetic process takes place. If there are large temperature fluctuations, as we have in the last days between night and day, the development of fruits stagnates ", said for Moldova Fruct Ananie Peșteanu, doctor in fruit growing, associate professor.

He said that in the next period we will have excellent temperatures for fruit development, and their growth will be compensated by the weather conditions.

In the following days, temperatures of up to 25 degrees are expected in Moldova. Early next week, the rains return.
