Moldovan president meets representatives of ethnic, cultural communities from Moldova

Chisinau, 3 June /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today met representatives of the ethnic and cultural communities of Moldova.
According to the presidential press service, the head of state referred to the priorities of her mandate, which are for the benefit of all citizens: fighting corruption, a fair and independent justice, a prosperous economy and a united society.
„During years, politicians divided the society and meanwhile, they were stealing this country. It is important that we presently together contribute to Moldova’s development and edify a united and educated society. I want to re-bring the confidence of people in our state, so that the people remain at home and edify their lives here,’’ Maia Sandu said.
In the context, the Moldovan president stressed that she relied on the involvement of the ethnic and cultural communities in the working out of policies of Moldova’s development and invited them to come up with suggestions.
The participants in the discussion talked about the problems faced by the ethnic and cultural communities they represent and asked for the Presidency’s support to overcome them.
