Two river border crossing points closed in Moldova

Chisinau, 4 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Naval Agency of Moldova has closed the exploitation of ferryboats at the river border crossing points Cosauti-Yampil (international) and Soroca-Tsekinovka (interstate/local).
The Border Police and Customs Service said that they had been informed by the Naval Agency of Moldova about the ban of exploiting the floating means at the river border crossing points Cosauti-Yampil (international) and Soroca-Tsekinovka (interstate/local). According to reports by the competent institutions, they pose enhanced danger for passengers’ security and till the remedying of the technical conditions of the ferryboats, their exploitation will be banned.
The Border Police recommends that travelers who planned to cross the border through the aforementioned points choose the nearby border crossing points, such as Otaci-Mogilev-Podolsk or Unguri-Bronnitsya.
