Chisinau, 7 June /MOLDPRES/ - The B.P. Hasdeu Municipal Library today launched the 2021 year edition of the summer programme, Summer’s Challenge, titled, Read and discover Chisinau!, dedicated to the 585th anniversary of the city’s first record. The project will be carried out till 31 July in all 27 branches of the library.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the Library’s director, Mariana Harjevschi, said that, this summer, the aforementioned summer programme would turn the B.P. Hasdeu Municipal Library into a laboratory of reading, exploring, game, creativeness, through which children from Chisinau will get abilities and competences necessary for studying through game.
According to Harjevschi, the reading will have an orientating character, with the children being taught to read about Chisinau as they understand this, to get involved in reading workshops with loud voice, in theatrical scenarios about the city, drawing, photograph and cutting workshops, puzzle, in games, workshops for creating herbariums, etc. At the reading competition, children will be guided by librarians, through game and other entertaining and interactive forms, to read in time trial each day during about 20 minutes or as long as they want. Yet, they will compulsorily have to note how much time they spent for reading on a card-chronometer.
