Pre-electoral mission of Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe to come to Chisinau

Chisinau, 8 June /MOLDPRES/ - A pre-electoral mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will be on a visit to Chisinau on 9-12 June, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
During the visit, the PACE delegation will have a meeting with Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii.
The PACE delegation has also planned meetings with the heads of the factions of the parliament of the tenth legislative period: of the Party of Socialists, Action and Solidarity Party, ACUM Bloc; ACUM Dignity and Truth Platform; Democratic Party, Shor Party and the Pro Moldova parliamentary group.
The pre-electoral mission’s members also have scheduled meetings with representatives of other Moldova’s authorities, as well as with the leaders of the extra-parliamentary parties who compete in the elections, civil society’s representatives.
The delegation is made up of officials Stefan Schennach (Austria); Laima Liucija Andrikiene (Lithuania); Jacques Le Nay (France); Alberto Ribolla (Italy); Co-rapporteur of Monitoring Committee Pierre-Alain Fridez (Switzerland).
The secretariat of the delegation will be represented by Secretary of the ad-hoc committee, directorate for elections’ observation and inter-parliamentary cooperation Ivi-Triin Odrats; Assistant at the directorate for elections’ observation and inter-parliamentary cooperation Anne Godfrey.
Snap parliamentary elections will take place in Moldova on 11 July 2021.
