As many as 40 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 8 June /MOLDPRES/- A number of 5,661 samples have been processed in Moldova, of which 1,265 quick antigen tests, in the last 24 hours and 40 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 255,541 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), none of all cases of infection registered is among medical employees.

As many as 287 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 51 are in extremely serious condition (11 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus). Another 83 people have been treated. As many as 248,145 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

In the context, 728 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 13,614 are under supervision at home.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another four deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,141 people have died of coronavirus in all.
