Heavy rains cause damages in more districts of Moldova

Chisinau, 9 June /MOLDPRES/ - The heavy rains and hail have caused damages in the northern and southern Moldova.  

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the torrential rains and hail inflicted damage in more districts from the northern and southern regions.  

Thus, in the Causeni district, Gradinita village, the heavy precipitation with hail hit 40 hectares of orchards and 85 ha of agricultural crops, of which 45 hectares of maize and 40 ha of black currants. The heavy rains also affected 108 ha of vegetables and 495 hectares of orchards in the settlement Cunicea, northern Floresti district and in Ghindesti, the same district, the precipitation destroyed 60 ha of sugar beet and 130 ha of sunflower. District commissions for emergency situation work on the spot, which assess the material damages inflicted.   

Meteorologists forecast rains for the entire week.
