Moldovan electoral body warns about expiration of deadline for declaring place of residence

Chisinau, 9 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) reminds that the deadline for submitting applications on the declaring of the place of residents expires on 10 June.  

To be able to vote at the other polling station than according to the valid domicile or residence, the voter will submit a declaration of stay to the local public administration authority from the settlement where he/she wants to vote.

The concerned procedure will allow the voter being recorded in the basic electoral list of the polling station according to the place of residence declared and being able to exercise his/her right to vote at the concerned polling station.  

When submitting the declaration, the voter will present the original identity act for confirmation.  

According to the central electoral administration, the declarations submitted at the previous ballots are no longer valid.
