Moldovan departed poet would have turned 80

Chisinau, 10 June /MOLDPRES/ - Poet, publicist, script writer Petru Dudnic would have turned 80 today.
Petru Dudnic was born in the Iacobstal village (presently Lazo, Stefan Voda district), Tighina county, in 1941. He studied at the Chisinau-based Ion Creanga Pedagogical Institute (1957-1958) (presently Ion Creanga State Pedagogical University), an institution which he failed to graduate from. Afterwards, Dudnic finished the Higher Courses of Literature Maxim Gorki from Moscow in 1981.
Dudnic worked as editor at Radio Moldova, Luceafarul editorial office for youth. He dedicated himself to writing and poetry. Petru Dudnic published in the Moldovan and Moscow media. He debuted with poems in 1968.
As script writer, Petru Dudnic cooperated with the Telefilm-Chisinau Studio. He was member of the Moldovan Writers’ Union, laureate of the Youth Prize from Moldova.
The writer died in Chisinau on 6 November 1984.
