Chisinau, 10 June /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi today conveyed a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Border Police Day, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The message, inter alia, reads:

”Moldova’s Border Police today marks its 29th anniversary of the foundation, and on this period the institution and its employees have been ensuring one of the most important roles in the state, being in the first line in ensuring the order, sovereignty and security of our country.

The profession of the Policeman is one of the noblest ones, which requires professional dedication, responsibility, dignity, courage, as well as exposing to risks. The COVID-19 pandemic did not take into account the rules of crossing the border and the effort of all Border Police employees significantly contributed to the process of management of the epidemiological situation and diminishing the spread of the virus and, directly, to the rescuing of human lives.

In this respect, I express high appreciations and thank you for you uninterruptedly fulfilling the mission of defending the country’s borders, at the land and air border crossing points, from seen and unseen ill-willed people.

I convey you cordial congratulations on day of professional anniversary. I wish you good health, caution, peaceful work and well-being to your families, at the same time, continuing to be open for the development of the professional capacities. I voice hope that the spirit of responsibility which you prove will bring you, in continuation, appreciation and satisfaction in your honourable work.”
