Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency repairs community centre for disadvantaged children from Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 10 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination in Moldova (TIKA) has carried out 70 per cent of the capital repairs of the Stafeta (Relay Race) community centre for children and young people from the Chisinau municipality.
According to information unveiled by the Moldovan capital’s city hall, the works consists in the re-planning of rooms, rehabilitation of ceilings, floors and walls, replacing of the electricity network, changing the woodwork. Also, exterior works will be carried out, which regard the renovation of the centre’s façade and arranging the adherent area.
The centre will be endowed with special equipment, TV sets, computers, will have halls meant for activities for children, bureaus for psychologists, social assistants, as well as for other specialists
The TIKA assistance is provided to the Chisinau city hall’s general department for the protection of the rights of the child in form of projects and programmes, aimed at backing the sustainable economic, social and cultural development of beneficiaries in lamentable situation.
Till the starting of the capital repair, about 70 minors of various social categories – children without parental care and those at risk – were in the records of the Stafeta Centre.
