Chisinau, 11 June /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s citizens holding biometric passports can enter Romania, no matter the purpose of the travel.
The Romanian authorities updated the List with the classification of countries/areas, depending on the incidence rate cumulated. According to the official announcement, Moldova remains in the Green Zone. Therefore, all Moldova’s citizens holding biometric passports can enter Romania, no matter the purpose of the travel (for instance, short-term stay, transit).
The general rule sees that the measures of quarantine for 14 days is established for all foreign citizens and stateless people, no matter the zone they are coming from (green, yellow or red), including from Moldova. The people who prove that they were vaccinated, as well as the ones who were confirmed positive for the COVID-19 infection in the last 90 days are exempted from this measure. At the same time, exceptions are stipulated from this measure for a string of professional categories.
The Romanian citizens who return to Romania from abroad and spent the last 14 days in a green zone (including Moldova) are not placed in quarantine (they should not prove that they were vaccinated or that they fit the exceptions provided for in the legislation).
