Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has suggested a draft law providing for the exemption from the payment of more taxes for the common use assets, introduced in Moldova by Moldovan citizens from the Diaspora, who ruled to settle at home.
„We are happy when people from Diaspora rule to return home. Yet, many times, the return is a complicated process. A problems which is not signaled by many of those who returned home are the high taxes on the assets which they accumulated when they worked abroad and which they want to bring with them,’’ Maia Sandu said.
The draft law sees that the people who lived abroad at least three years can introduce in Moldova, upon return, with certain exemptions, personal assets, household appliances, furniture, equipment, by one transport unit per family. The assets must be in private property for at least one year.
„We hope that we will get the support of the next parliament for the adoption of this draft law and this we hope will be an extra argument for our fellow countrymen to return home,’’ President Maia Sandu added.
