Sculpture to Romanian poetess set on Mihai Eminescu square from Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/ - A bronze sculpture to Romanian poetess Veronica Micle has been inaugurated on the Mihai Eminescu Square from the centre of Chisinau.

The work belongs to artist Veaceslav Jiglitchi. The author thanked for the confidence given by the city hall, noting that ‘’Eminescu will not be so lonely’’ due to this artistic work.

At the event, the praetor of the Chisinau’s Centru district, Pavel Rusu, said that, in the near future, a sculptural ensemble bearing the same name would be set on the Miorita Street from the Moldovan capital. ‘’Presently, works of arranging the square are carried out on the Miorita Street from the capital. We will install the Miorita sculptural ensemble there,’’ the praetor added.
