Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau Court of Appeal today cancelled the decision by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) on the opening of 146 polling stations abroad.
The judges accepted the appeals submitted by more electoral contenders, which contest the small number of polling stations opened abroad and cancelled the annex to the point 1 of CEC’s decision from 5 June, under which 146 polling stations were opened abroad.
The court’s decision obliges the central electoral administration to open more polling stations in the Diaspora at the snap parliamentary elections due on 11 July.
The ruling by the Chisinau Court of Appeal can be appealed at the Supreme Court of Justice.
