As many as 57 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,390 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 57 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 255,994 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), two out of all cases of infection registered is among medical employees (one medical assistant and one auxiliary staff employee).

As many as 160 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 46 are in extremely serious condition (11 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 640 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,278 are under supervision at home.

Another 80 people have been treated. As many as 248,984 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another three deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,162 people have died of coronavirus in all.
