Moldovan acting PM participates in Antalya Diplomacy Forum

Chisinau, 18 June /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi participates in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, held under the aegis of President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
The Moldovan diplomacy head took part in the roundtable on ways of strengthening the regional solidarity. In his speech, Ciocoi highlighted three principal directions which need consolidated efforts of cooperation, reforms and investments and namely: health, science and education.
Aureliu Ciocoi pointed out the need to nationally increase the public financing, private investments and assistance for development, which are to be allocated for consolidating the medical and education systems and internationally – to strengthen the authority of the international organizations, as well as create a legal basis in fighting against pandemics. In the context, he welcomed the European Union’s initiative to elaborate and sign an international treaty on counteracting pandemics.
During discussions with the other participants in the roundtable, a string a leaders from the Western Balkans, the Moldovan official reaffirmed the commitment for a close cooperation in diverse regional-level formats, as this is essential for the regional stability.
The Antalya Diplomacy Forum is an event organized in the first issue, which brings together political leaders, high-ranking officials, academicians, representatives of the private sector and mass media, as well as influential personalities in the international and diplomatic sectors. The forum is titled, Innovative diplomacy: a new age, new approaches, and provides a platform for exchanging opinions between participants on various topical subjects.
