Preliminary results of Baccalaureate exam announced

Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/- Preliminary results of the Baccalaureate session were announced yesterday. Thus, pupils can see the individual results both in the Baccalaureate Center where they took the exam and through the platform www.bac.edu.md, which is available on 27 -28 June.
Attending the Baccalaureate session 2021 were 10,914 candidates from high schools, 4,601 candidates from colleges and centers of excellence, 187 candidates from universities, 342 candidates who enrolled abroad and 169 overdue from previous sessions, in alll - 16,213 candidates.
„The promotion rate of high school graduates is 87.52%, which is 0.11 percentage points higher than the 2019 Baccalaureate session, at the same stage. Thus, out of the 10,914 high school pupils, 9,552 passed the Baccalaureate exam ”, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC) has reported.
Out of the 4,601 candidates admitted from colleges and centers of excellence, 1,972 candidates passed the Baccalaureate exam, the promotion rate is 42.86%.
In all, 11,727 candidates passed the Baccalaureate exam in the basic session, until the complaints, which is 72.33% of the total number of candidates admitted to the session, the pass rate being up by about 4.4 points percentages compared to the same stage of the basic session of thel Baccalaureate exam 2019.
On 27-28 June, candidates who do not agree with the marks can lodge complaints to the Baccalaureate Centers between 9:00 -18:00. During the same period, each candidate will be able to see his / her verified works at www.bac.edu.md based on a password provided by the educational institution where he / she studied. The final results of the basic session will be announced on 4 July after examining the complaints.
Also, on 19-26 July, additional session of the Baccalaureate exam will be organized. To participate in the additional session, on 4 -5 July candidates will submit a written request to the Baccalaureate Center where they took the tests in the basic session.
