Four minors to be prosecuted for destruction of more vehicles in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/ - Four minors have been detained without delay by policemen from the Moldovan capital, after they damaged windows of more vehicles. The suspects have ages between 13 and 16 years, have earlier committed other infringements and were prosecuted under the criminal and civil laws for similar offences.
According to the Chisinau municipality’s Police Department, law-enforcers were called on 26 June in the morning, after windows of eight cars had been broken and material assets were purloined from two vehicles in the Ciocana district of Chisinau. Thus, following measures undertaken, the suspects were detained shortly after the committing of the offence and escorted to the police inspectorate.
They recognized their guilt and informed the law-enforcers that, during June, they had deteriorated another 20 transport units, parked in yards of apartment blocks in the Ciocana district of the Moldovan capital.
As for the minors, two criminal files were open for theft and 26 contraventional proceedings were started for deliberate destruction or deterioration of assets belonging to other people. The minors are prosecuted at large and run the risk of being imposed a fine worth up to 67,500 lei, carrying out non-remunerated work for the benefit of community from 180 to 240 hours or getting up to four years of imprisonment.
