Moldovan acting PM participates in meeting of Global Coalition against ISIS

Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan diplomacy head, Aureliu Ciocoi, has participated in a ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition against ISIS in Rome, at an invitation by U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Luigi Di Maio.
The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) public diplomacy, strategic communication and media international service has told MOLDPRES that that participants in the meeting of the Global Coalition, Moldova is a member of, along with another 83 members, states and international organizations, tackled aspects on the actions undertaken by the international community in the fight against terrorism and considering the future steps to this end.
Minister Aureliu Ciocoi reconfirmed Moldova’s commitment to contribute to combating the international terrorism and, implicitly, to strengthening the regional and international security and stability.
The Moldovan official emphasized the importance that the international community and all concerned actors promote joint efforts, in a coordinated way and in the spirit of solidarity, in order to make sustainable progress to counteract the international terrorism.
The visit’s agenda includes also a string of bilateral meetings with counterparts from Sweden, Slovenia, Latvia, Greece, Georgia, Georgia and Qatar.
