As many as 55 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,971 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 55 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which three import ones. As many as 256,614 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), two out of all cases registered are among medical employees – one medical assistant and one representative of the auxiliary staff.

As many as 166 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 34 are in extremely serious condition (seven patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 625 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 16,107 are under supervision at home.

Another 34 people have been treated. As many as 249,590 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another three deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,187 people have died of coronavirus in all.
