Two IT specialists came to CNA, having extorted 13 thousand lei for driving exam appointment

Chisinau, 30 June /MOLDPRES/- Two information technology specialists were placed in the isolator of the National Anticorruption Center, investigated for acts of corruption. They were reported by a young woman, who allegedly contracted their services to make it easier to get emergency appointment at the theoretical and practical driving license exam.
According to the CNA, the two alleged they have influence over the public persons from the Drivers' Examination and Qualification Directorate of the Public Service Agency and that can determine them to take the practical exam for getting the driving license, category B. Thus, using internet payment methods, they would have claimed and received 13,050 lei to mediate the obtaining of the permit.
During the searches carried out by the law enforcement officers at the suspects' home, several documents, bank cards and 100 thousand lei were found.
In this case, a criminal case has been launched for trafficking in influence, and if found guilty, the suspects risk a fine or imprisonment for up to six years.
