Book exhibition dedicated to Moldovan writer opened in Chisinau

Chisinau, 30 June /MOLDPRES/- The exhibition of documents and publications from the BNRM collections with the title -Vladimir Beșleagă - The Poet of Unwritten Books was opened today at the National Library of the Republic of Moldova, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the prose writer.
Elena Pintilei, director of the institution, said that the exhibition displays about 100 documents: novels, children's books, translations published in different periods, as well as newspapers and magazines with the author's publications and articles about Vladimir Beșleagă.
Beşleagă's novels have been translated into other languages. Translated from the works of Longos, Erasmus of Rotterdam and others.
He received the State Prize of the MSSR (1978). He is a People's Writer (1991). He has got the Order of the Republic (1996).
In the 1990s, Vladimir Beșleagă became involved in the National Renaissance Movement, was a deputy in the first Parliament of independent Moldova.
The exhibition will be open until 15 August.
