Salaries of bus, trolleybus drivers in Chisinau to increase

Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/- The capital's authorities want to increase the salaries of drivers in the Urban Bus Park and those in the Chisinau Electric Transport Authority.

Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban said today he will ask the Chisinau Municipal Council to increase the salaries of bus and trolleybus drivers. "The large number of buses and trolleybuses that will be delivered to the Urban Bus Park and to the Electric Transport Authority requires finding an appropriate number of drivers. At this moment, even if these drivers have a salary of about ten thousand lei, we have a shortage of drivers. I decided to ask the Municipal Council to increase the salary ", he saidl.

He noted that all the transport units will ensure a better connection of the capital's suburbs with the city.
