Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/ - A play titled, „Istoria comunismului povestită pentru bolnavii mintal” (The history of the Communism told to mentally sick) by Matei Visniec, stage management of Cristian Hadji Culea (Iasi, Romania), has been staged at the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre (TNME).

At a news conference, TNME director Petru Hadarca said that the premiere of this play was part of a string of events dedicated to the Centenary of the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre, due to be marked in next September-October.

According to Hadarca, the text of the play was remade and adapted specially for the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre. The play, The history of the Communism told to mentally sick, in the original and combative vision of Romanian stage manager Cristian Hadji Culea, brings to the present interest the fact that the process of the Communism remained a black hole in the history of the human reflection. ‘’The civilized nations of Europe have not even made the effort to be inspired from the process of the Nazism, in order to understand better how is it possible for an ideology, which led to the death of one hundred million people,- it is naturally about the Communist ideology – to remain in some countries (even with a nimbus of prestige) on the list of the non-judged and non-condemned doctrines. Therefore, my essential call in this play is, Stalin is not dead! As at any moment, the new prophets, the new ‘’great’’ illuminated peopled can restart anywhere the terrifying experiment of the ‘’the best world possible’’ at the expense of millions of people,’’ Matei Visniec said.

For his part, stage manager Cristian Hadji Culea stressed that the play was up-to-date in a time when the principles of liberalism and the freedom, in general, were brought for discussion again.
