Moldovan president urges citizens to be vaccinated to preserve health, freedom of travel

Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova was added in the list of countries, whose citizens can enter the European Union’s area with no restrictions, by presenting the proof of immunization with a vaccine recognized in EU or a negative test for Covid-19. The European Union’s decision has a character of recommendation for the member states, the presidential press service has reported.  

„This decision gives back the possibility to travel and see the beloved peopled,’’ President Maia Sandu stressed. At the same time, the head of state specified that, to be allowed to the so-called ‘’green area,’’ each country was thoroughly analyzed, on the forefront being put both the sanitary and epidemiological indexes and the measures taken to keep the virus under control. Yet, this list is continuously revised and it depends on the daily situation.  

„I urge you, in continuation, to be vaccinated and to be protected. This is one of the key criteria, so that our country is maintained in this list and we preserve the health and the freedom of travel,’’ Maia Sandu said.
