20 SPPS officers to be trained by experts from Italy, Slovenia

Chisinau, 2 July /MOLDPRES/- A number of 20 State Protection and Guard Service (SPPS) officers are being trained by Italian and Slovenian experts in a workshop on the latest methods of communication and negotiation in crisis situations.
The training takes place over two days (1-2 June) and takes place under the auspices of the European Commission's TAIEX instrument. The work agenda includes topics related to the management of critical situations in the negotiation process, the philosophy of negotiation, stress management, efficiency and impact of using technologies in the negotiation process, essential strategies and tactics of communication in crisis situations, etc.
During the courses, officers will improve their skills to prevent, detect and respond peacefully to threats through communication and negotiation.
TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument) is the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument of the Directorate-General for Enlargement of the Commission of the European Communities. The purpose of the mission is to assist beneficiary countries in harmonizing their national legislation with the acquis communautaire, EU policies and internal practices.
