Chisinau, 2 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) today approved the resignation of the capital’s deputy mayor, Inga Ionesii, and a demand by the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, to dismiss the deputy mayor of the city, Victor Chironda.
In his demand, mayor Ion Ceban reasoned that Victor Chironda had not coped with the job duties and accumulated drawbacks in all activity sectors he was in charge of. ‘’Deputy mayor Chironda has recorded drawbacks in all activity fields he was competent with, from the construction of new car parks to the repair of roads and streets,’’ Ceban said.
The Chisinau mayor noted that the topics regarding the National Hotel represented just a smoke-producing thing thrown to cover Chironda’s inactivity.
For his part, Victor Chironda said that his dismissal represented ‘’a capitulation of the city hall to the mafia of constructions from the city.’’
The factions of the Action and Solidarity Party and Dignity and Truth Platform Party from CMC walked out of the hall at the moment of voting. Chironda’s dismissal was voted by Socialist, Communist councilors, the ones of the Shor Party and Democratic Party.
Presently, two deputy mayors work at the Chisinau city hall.
