Moldovan electoral body registers another 361 national, international observers for 11 July elections

Chisinau, 2 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) accredited new national and international observers for the 11 July 2021 snap parliamentary elections, one day before the expiration of the legal term of electoral observers’ registration.
At a today’s meeting, the CEC members accredited 361 national and international observers for the 11 July ballot.
They represent the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), Embassy of Italy in Moldova, the Centre of Civic Consultancy and Education public association, the RENATO USATII electoral bloc, Promo-LEX public association, Embassy of Turkey in Chisinau, Central Electoral Commission of Georgia, Council of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries, the CIS observation mission, International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) and the Embassy of Lithuania in Moldova.
CEC has accredited 2,221 observers for the monitoring of the 11 July elections, of whom 1,648 national observers and 573 international ones.
The deadline for submitting applications on the accreditation as observer for the snap parliamentary elections expires on 3 July.
