As many as 54 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 2 July /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,602 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 54 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which two import ones. As many as 256,870 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), two out of all cases registered are among medical employees: one physician and one auxiliary staff employee.

As many as 198 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 43 are in extremely serious condition (ten patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 531 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 16,153 are under supervision at home.

Another 51 people have been treated. As many as 249,825 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
