Customs Service announced highest revenue figure in last 9 years

Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/- The Customs Service reported one of the highest figures in state budget revenues in the last nine years. Thus, in June 2021, about 2.4 billion lei were collected from the state budget, up by 37% than in the same month of 2020 and 33% more than in June 2019.

According to the institution, due to the efforts of the economic agents, which carried out their activity in pandemic conditions, as well as the efficient collaboration between the entrepreneurs and the Customs Service, the revenues to the state budget administered by the customs body are constantly increasing earlier this year.

"In the first half of 2021, revenues amount to 12.6 billion lei, increasing by 27% compared to revenues collected in the corresponding period of 2020. At the same time, the revenue figure is increasing by about 23% even compared to 2019 (January-June), when the national economy was not affected by the consequences of the pandemic ", the Customs Service said.
