Gagauz governor vaccinated against COVID-19

Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/- Gagauzia Governor Irina Vlah has got first dose of COVID-19 vaccine today. Bashcan was given Sinopharm serum, made in China.

The vaccine is part of the list approved by the World Health Organization. Acting prime minister Aureliu Ciocoi has got vaccinated with the same serum.

"We need to get vaccinated. We need to take care of each other, respect each other and help each other. We need to wash our hands as often as possible and follow the doctors' recommendations. The epidemic has shown us that no matter how many people talked about the problem of infection, only the doctors knew how to treat us. They showed us many good examples: examples of humanity, love, patience and wisdom. Only in this way, through good examples, can we overcome the epidemic," Irina Vlah said.

Earlier, the local authorities reported that in Gagauzia there is the lowest level of vaccination in the country (about 4%), even if vaccine doses are sufficient from different manufacturers.
