Chisinau streets to be washed during heat wave

Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall will start washing the streets when temperatures exceed +30 degrees.

The head of the General Directorate of Public Transport and Communications, Vitalie Mihalache, said at online meeting of the municipal services today that he has established the schedule of street washing and the intervention schedule in case of temperatures above +30 degrees - when the asphalt concrete yields due to public transport.

“We established the schedule for washing the main road arteries in Chisinau, necessary for cooling the asphalt concrete. Meteorologists announce that hot days are coming, with temperatures that will rise to over +30 degrees ", said Mihalache. According to the official, in addition to cleaning the arteries of the capital, washing the roads is necessary to remove the excessive heat.

At the same time, Mihalache said that last week, several asphalting and non-compliance works were carried out on the streets of the municipality. "At this moment we are ready to start the works on Belinski Street, where the sidewalks have been arranged and we want to pour the wear asphalt table," he said.
