About 270 new road signs installed in Comrat

Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/- About 270 new road signs were set up in June in Comrat. Authorities say they will secure traffic in the locality.

According to Comrat mayor Serghei Anastasov, the road signs were either replaced or renewed on all streets in the city.

"We have installed and renewed about 270 road signs. On some streets there was generally no sign. We paid more attention to the speed reduction in the areas near the educational institutions. From now on, drivers will have to be much more careful, because there are more conditions to be sanctioned ", said Serghei Anastasov, quoted by gagauzinfo.md.

The project for the installation of the new road signs was made from the local budget and cost 290 thousand lei.

There are 172 streets in Comrat.
