Meeting of Superior Council of Magistracy postponed

Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/- Plenary meeting of the Superior Council of Magistracy, scheduled for today was postponed due to lack of quorum.
Today, the CSM members had planned in the agenda the examination of the resignation request of Judge Ion Muruianu, from the Chisinau Court of Appeal, the discussion of several topics related to the expiration of the powers of some presidents and vice-presidents of the courts and the appointment of the interim.
The agenda also included the issue of the State Chancellery's note on approval of the draft decision on approving the Department Information System Concept Evidence of alerts and events, as well as the note of the Court Administration Agency, regarding the modification of the list of pilot courts for testing the Judicial Information System.
Also today, the issue on approval of the limit staff and the staff of the Superior Council of Magistracy was to be discussed.
Currently, the Superior Council of Magistracy has six judge members, one member from the law professors and the General Prosecutor. According to the legislation in force, for CSM meetings to be deliberative, they must be attended by at least 2/3 of the total of 12 members.
