Current week to be marked by Yellow Code of heat in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has announced a Yellow Code of heat for 14-19 July.

According to meteorologists, Moldova will be seized by intense heat, with the maximal air temperature increasing to +35 Celsius degrees.

In the context, physicians warn especially elderly people, pregnant women, children and patients with cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, allergic people to avoid bathing in the sun, opt for light clothes, preferably made of natural linen, to cover their heads and take care of hydration.

Meteorologists said thunderstorm rains were expected in northern Moldova on 13 July. On the rest of the period, no precipitation is expected.
