As many as 62 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,662 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 62 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, including six import ones. As many as 257,529 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), three out of the new cases registered are among medical employees: two medical assistants and one representative of the auxiliary staff.

As many as 179 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 52 are in extremely serious condition (12 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 558 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 18,008 are under supervision at home.

Another 42 people have been treated. As many as 250,489 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of two deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,211 people have died of coronavirus in all.
