Over 13,000 people asked for ambulance last week

Chisinau, 13 JUly /MOLDPRES/- On 5-11 July, 13,306 requests for emergency medical assistance were registered at the Dispatch Department of the National Center for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance.

According to the Center, the most frequent requests were cardiovascular emergencies - 2251, followed by 1855 people with neurological emergencies and 1747 citizens with respiratory diseases.

The Emergency Service also called 138 people with infectious diseases, 65 with toxic emergencies and three patients who received first and second degree sunburn. The medical teams also intervened in the case of 32 drug poisonings, 14 due to excessive alcohol consumption and two cases of mushroom poisoning.

The intervention of the ambulance was requested for 98 people, who suffered as a result of road accidents.
