Man from western city of Moldova, hit by serious arson, brought to Chisinau by SMURD helicopter

Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/ - A man from the western Ungheni city today afternoon was brought to Chisinau by a SMURD (Romanian Mobile Emergency Service for Resuscitation and Extrication) helicopter, after he had suffered from arsons of the first, second and third degrees on 85 per cent of the body’s surface.
According to data by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), the man, aged 55, was taken over from the Ungheni district hospital and carried by SMURD physicians and para-physicians, who monitored his condition during the flight.
After the helicopter had landed at the Dinamo stadium from the Moldovan capital, the man was taken over by the Aviasan Republican Service and carried to the Republican Centre of Thermal Wounds for medical care.
Since early 2021, this is the eighth air and medical operation made for Moldova’s citizens.
