Over 25 km of Bălți-Fălești-Sculeni route to be rebuilt by late July

Chisinau, 14 July /MOLDPRES/- Over 25 km of the national road R16 Balti-Falesti-Sculeni will be rebuilt by late July 2021. The route is part of a rehabilitation project of the road R16, which crosses the north of the Republic of Moldova, starting with Sculeni to Balti, the State Road Administration (ASD) has reported.
The rehabilitation works are divided into two lots and register an execution progress of over 98% on the first lot and about 82% on the second lot.
"Currently, the contractor is carrying out works to install information panels and road signs, arrangement of intersections and accesses to properties, as well as installation of passenger pavilions on the first road sector with a length of over 25 km, to be completed fully by late July", ASD said.
The rehabilitation works of the two lots, with a total length of about 55 km, have a value of over 50 million euros, money allocated from the loan offered to the Moldovan government by the European Investment Bank.
