Moldovan president hands honorary diplomas to best lyceum graduates

Chisinau, 14 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today handed Honorary Diplomas to the lyceum graduates from all over Moldova, who got an average mark of 9.6-10 at the Baccalaureate examinations, the presidential press service has reported.
„I today welcomed those 105 graduates who passed the Baccalaureate examinations with an average mark between 9.6 and 10. I congratulated them for their remarkable result, I wished them success in making their dreams come true and handed them, as a token of appreciation, Honorary Diplomas of Moldova’s President. We have very good young people, of whom we are proud,’’ the head of state said.
„Some of the graduates will remain to study in Moldova, the others will go to study abroad; yet, I hope that, in several years, everybody will give a helping hand to the reconstruction and development of Moldova. We rely on the creative contribution of the young generation. Meanwhile, we will start, along with a new parliamentary majority and the future government, a general cleaning all over the country,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
Following the ceremony of handing the prizes, the head of state invited the graduates to visit Moldova’s Presidency.
This year, 18 pupils graduated the lyceum with the average mark 10; two pupils – with the average 9.8; 84 pupils – with the average 9.75 and one pupil - with the average mark 9.6.
