Moldova's Medicine University organizes new vaccination marathon

Chisinau, 15 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) in the next week-end will organize the third marathon of immunization against COVID-19 titled, From Student to Student. The second vaccine of AstraZeneca will be administered at the event and people interested will be able to be vaccinated with Johnson & Johnson too.
According to the USMF press service, all people vaccinated with AstraZeneca at the first stage of the marathon (21-23 May) are to come without preliminary scheduling on 18 July in the time interval 8:00-18;00, with the identity card and the certificate received at the administering of the first dose of AstraZeneca.
Six immunization flows will be organized at the University Social and Cultural Complex (Nicolae Testemitanu Street, 25) for a good carrying out of the vaccination process: four for AstraZeneca and two – for Johnson & Johnson.
The action is organized in partnership with the Association of Students and Residents in Medicine, Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, Education, Culture and Research Ministry, with the support of the council of rectors from Moldova.
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine, produced by an American company, is administered intramuscularly with a single dose and is recommended for people with ages of at least 18 years. Clinic studies showed an efficiency of 66.3 per cent against all forms of disease and 100 per cent against the hospitalization triggered by COVID-19.
