Movement of high-tonnage trucks banned in Chisinau municipality

Chisinau, 15 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall informs that, on the dog days with air temperatures higher than +30 Celsius degrees, the high-tonnage vehicles have no right to move on the city’s streets in the time interval 10:00-20:00.

The measure imposed by the municipal authorities is aimed at protecting the asphalt concrete layer on public roads and the restrictions regard the transport units which exceed the capacity of 20 tons.

The movement limitations on the period with high air temperatures do not regard the passenger public transport, the units carrying food products, materials meant for the prevention/liquidation of emergency situations, vehicles meant for the transport of goods under checked temperature and the ones involved in roads’ restoration, within the limits of construction sites.
